Das werden nun etwas viele Bilder, aber ich bin mir sicher das stört euch eher nicht so. Ich bin gestern meinem gewünschten Spielfeld einen großen Schritt näher gekommen. Meine Matte von DeepCut Studio wurde gestern geliefert und auch wenn das Material ein bisschen anders ist als ich es mir vorgestellt habe, bin ich mit dem Kauf hochzufrieden. Doch der Reihe nach.
I've ordered the mat 10 days ago and the team made my special request come true. They normally sell this mat as a 72"x48" version, but I wanted mine as s 48"x48" version for Infinity. They made a little discount for me, so that mat did cost 35 british pounds. It was delivered in a carton roll and everthing seems fine so far.
Ich hab die Matte vor 10 Tagen bestellt und das Team war schon im Vorfeld offen für Sonderwünsche und hat mir die gewünschte Matte statt als 72"x48" Variante in 48"x48" bedruckt. Dazu gab es einen kleinen Preisnachlass, wodurch mich die Matte 35 Pfund gekostet hat. Geliefert wurde sie zusammengerollt in einer stabilen Pappröhre. Beschädigungen konnte ich keine feststellen.
The mat itself is full of details and the print is great as well.The sealing is matt, but it still is shiny by angular incidence of light. I don't play outsight too often and I usually play at the evening, but I think some guys could be still bothered by that fact.
Die Matte selbst ist sehr detailreich und der Druck ist ebenfalls ordentlich. Die Beschichtung/Versiegelung ist zwar matt, glänzt aber etwas bei schrägem Lichteinfall. Ich spiele zwar eher selten im Freien und meist eher abends, aber ich kann mir vorstellen dass das schon den ein oder anderen stören könnte.
The material is quite thin and resembles a common plastic tablecloth more than a playground mat, kidsuse for their toy cars. I thought the mat would be like 5mm thick foam, but it as I said its rather thin. Still, it seems very durable. I can't predict how the mat will look like after 100 games though.
Das Material ist recht dünn und erinnert eher an eine Plastiktischdecke, als an die (Auto-)Spielmatten von Kindern. Ich dachte es wäre eine 5mm Dicke Schaumstoffmatte, aber das Material ist wie gesagt eher dünn. Stabil scheint es aber dennoch zu sein. Wie die Matte aber nach 100 Spielen aussieht kann ich heute echt noch nicht sagen.
My intended gaming board for Infinity sure doesn't fit everybodys taste, but I like it. I think there are two obvious things you can see at the pictures. First, you can imagine surly, how the board will look like in the future. Second, there is still a llot of work to do until I reach my goal. I will build up the terrain step by step and will use terrain kits as well as selfmade pieces. If you have any idea for good looking terrain, let me know!
Das Design ist wahrscheinlich für Infinity nicht jedermanns Sache, aber mir gefällt der Look ziemlich gut. Ich glaub man sieht auf den Bildern mit den Geländestücken zwei Dinge recht schön. Zum einen welcher Stil mir vorschwebt und auch wie die volle Platte eines Tages mal aussehen soll und zum anderen dass mir von besagtem Gelände noch ne ganze Menge fehlt. Ich habe vor da Stück für Stück voranzukommen, wobei ich auf eine Mischung aus fertigen bausätzen und selbstgemachten Teilen setzen werde. Über Ideen und Anregungen zu den Eigenbauten würde ich mich sehr freuen.
On the previous pictures you might have discovered one of these selmade terrain pieces I mentioned. Therefore I'd like to share a picture with you, before the platform was painted. Some details aren't satisfying,but I really learned a lot building this piece and got lots of ideas for upcoming terrain. But first of all I gotta finish the MAS-building.
Auf den Bildern sieht man ja die kleine Plattform die ich gebastelt habe. Dazu gibts hier nochmal ein Bild vom Entstehungsprozess. Mit einigen Details bin ich nicht so recht zufrieden, aber ich hab beim Bau der Plattform einiges gelernt und viele Ideen für die nächsten Geländestücke gesammelt. Jetzt muss ich dann aber erst mal das MAS-Gebäude fertigstellen.
So so, du hast also auch eine. Ich bestell mir die mal für 40k, also ne andere. Sieht nicht schlecht aus und spart Geld.
